CUET Exam Date 2025
The CUET 2025 is an important entrance test for students aiming to join undergraduate and postgraduate programs in universities across India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet announced the CUET Exam Date 2025 on its official website https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/. As per last year’s data, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is expected to begin on May 15 and will be continued till May 24, 2025. For the year 2025, NTA has added 92 participating universities for the CUET PG Exam.
CUET Registration 2025
The application forms for CUET UG 2025 are expected to be released by the month of February 2025. For the CUET PG exam, the NTA started the application process on January 04. All the students who are willing to appear for the upcoming CUET PG exam are advised to fill out their application forms before the last date i.e., February 01, 2025. To fill out the application forms students are required to visit the official website https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/ and enter their personal, educational, and other details.
Are There Any Changes in the CUET Exam Pattern 2025?
The UGC chief, Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, has shared a few major changes for the CUET 2025 exam. According to the new changes, the CUET UG exam will now be held only in CBT mode, and all students will have 60 minutes to complete it. Students can choose up to five subjects, and the number of questions has been reduced to 37, from 63.
Earlier, the exam lasted 2 hours, but last year it was shortened to 1 hour 45 minutes. This year onwards, the NTA has decided that the CUET PG 2025 exam will be even shorter, lasting only 1.5 hours (90 minutes). These changes are meant to make the exam easier and more focused. New Changes in The CUET Exam Pattern 2025
- The CUET 2025 exam will be held only in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
- Students can choose any subject for the CUET exam, regardless of what they studied in Class 12.
- Students can select up to 5 subjects for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
- The number of test papers has been reduced from 63 to 37.
- All CUET subject exams will be held for a total of 1 hour duration, and there will be no optional questions.
- Admissions for removed subjects will be based on the General Aptitude Test.
CUET 2025 Exam Mode Changed?
The official guidelines related to the CUET 2025 Exam Mode are yet to be announced by the authorities however it is expected that the University Grants Commission (UGC) is preparing to shift back to the computer-based test mode where the students will be provided with the standardized 60-minute duration for all papers, the requirement for students to attempt all questions, and a reduction in foreign language papers.
CUET 2025 News: Any Subject Choice
One of the key suggestions made by the expert committee regarding the CUET Exam 2025 is to allow students of class 12th to appear for any subject in the exam irrespective of the subjects they studied in their class 12th. The UGC Chairman shared this suggestion while talking to the press.
He also said “The exam will be conducted only in CBT mode from 2025 unlike hybrid mode last year. We have also reduced the number of subjects from 63 to 37 and admissions for the dropped subjects will be conducted on the basis of scores of the General Aptitude Test (GAT).”
Is the CUET 2025 Syllabus Changed?
No, the CUET syllabus has not undergone any significant changes recently. It remains the same as before, covering subjects like Language, Domain-Specific, and General Test sections.
